Hampton Roads International Montessori School (HRIMS) is looking to expand its current Board of Trustees as we embark upon a new Strategic Plan and Vision for the Future. Our mission is to nurture the development of each child to reach his fullest potential in a culturally diverse environment that is firmly grounded in the Montessori Philosophy. Bacon Street Youth & Family Services. We are passionate about supporting families. For 47 years we have served adolescents and families dealing with substance abuse and/or mental health disorders through treatment and prevention programs. Peninsula READS provides literacy skills for adults to function more effectively in their lives and communities. We have programs for Basic Literacy, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), and Citizenship. We are seeking board members who believe in a world where everyone is literate.  Ideal candidates have experience in marketing, fund development/grant writing, and community outreach. Access Virginia was established in 2014 to provide and promote accessibility at performing arts theaters as well as other venues for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing and Blind/Visually Impaired Communities, to create tangible positive changes in their lives. The methods of accommodation are open captioning and audio description. We are currently in need of two new Board members who have experience in fundraising and development.
