Volunteers Needed for THRIVE Peninsula Food Pantry

Current Volunteer Needs

Front Desk Assistant – 2 hours per week:  Onsite at Outreach Center, this frontline encourager, customer service representative and telephone receptionist welcomes guests, helps facility pantry services for that day, and assists with light computer work. Personal, courteous, energetic demeanor with professional office/telephone etiquette recommended.

Food Pantry Sorting – Mondays (9:30am – 11am) Team of 2:  Each Mondaymorning THRIVE receives a load of fresh food products from Food Lion. Help us weigh and sort items.

Phone Application Help – 2 hours per week or 4 hours per month:  Are you compassionate person and a good listener? If so THRIVE needs you! Help take applications for assistance over the phone and provide appropriate resource referrals for families who are in crisis. Training provided. Assistance is needed on Tuesday or Wednesday mornings.
