Soundscapes is a nonprofit educational and intervention program that instills transformative life skills in underserved community children through intensive music study and frequent ensemble performances.
Care Net Peninsula’s non-profit medical pregnancy center exists to inform and empower women in unplanned pregnancies so they can understand all of their choices. All services are free of charge. They offer: Crisis Pregnancy Intervention through their confidential options counseling; Medical Services like pregnancy testing & pregnancy confirmation by ultrasound; Parent Equipping in educational programs and by providing material assistance; and Support & Healing through an abortion recovery Bible study.
An ecumenical group of individuals formed this local affiliate in 1985. Since then, our affiliate has built and renovated over 210 houses in our local community!
Habitat for Humanity traditionally relies on the generosity of supporters, from individuals and civic groups to churches and corporations, to fund our activities.

Our Mission Is to ADVOCATE, EMPOWER and EDUCATE all people to improve well-being, raise awareness, instill healing, hope, and belief, for better prevention and response to sexual violence.
Our mission is to provide a safe and supportive space for individuals who have faced a domestic violence issue. We provide free needed items, resources and support groups.

Peninsula Pastoral Counseling Center guides people toward wholeness and health through professional counseling in a faith context, and assists those who seek counseling but may lack insurance or the ability to pay.
The Newport News Public Art Foundation is dedicated to helping make Newport News an appealing place to live, work, visit and do business by placing monumental-scale works of art by respected sculptors throughout the city, where people can enjoy art as they go about their daily lives. The Foundation also works to encourage and help the public enjoy, appreciate and engage with the sculpture around them, through outreach and education programs.
Community Knights is committed to identifying the needs of small local nonprofit and public school organizations as well as the populations they serve and finding innovative ways to help them meet these needs collaboratively. We are also dedicated to identifying service gaps for underserved populations within our community and, through the development of a nonprofit incubator, support and educate start up organizations to fill unmet needs within our community.
The DeGood Foundation’s mission is to ensure that all children on the Virginia Peninsula will have equitable access to positive early childhood experiences that nurture, grow, and inspire through programs such as Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and Bags of Hope. We believe that children can achieve by inspiring them to Dream More, Learn More, Care More, and Be More by focusing on programs in youth literacy and early childhood experiences.
The mission of Hampton Roads Refugee Relief (HR3) is to support refugee families who have been granted asylum on their journey to become fully integrated, contributing members of our community in the Peninsula and Hampton Roads, Virginia area of the United States.
Menchville House is a year-round emergency family shelter that houses a maximum of 16 adults and 30 children at one time, with a focus on families in Newport News and Hampton.
