Counteract International is a faith-driven organization that takes a holistic approach to equipping incarcerated and released youth to achieve life turnarounds across El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras. We send in-country staff behind bars of juvenile prisons each day to provide the youth consistent mentorship, deliver life skills training, offer biblical guidance and help them develop a life plan for success. Once the youth are released, we provide Success Coaches to walk by their side as they return to the community by connecting them to schools, jobs, and churches, as well as to guide them as they travel a new path.

OUR MISSION

Nurturing the development of each child to reach their fullest potential in a diverse community that is firmly grounded in the Montessori philosophy.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Montessori education is a time-tested, child-centered approach to education. It is a creative, innovative and individualized program that recognizes the natural curiosity and inherent desire of the child to learn. Children work at their own pace as they develop physically, socially, emotionally, intellectually and spiritually. All of this takes place in a naturally peaceful environment that is both nurturing and stimulating. With guidance from trained teachers, the child explores and discovers his world through his own hands-on experiences with specially designed, interactive learning materials. Montessori education empowers children to become confident, creative, critical thinkers.
