|Food Delivery @ Berkley Village
We are now helping the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank
to deliver food to the residents of Berkley Village, a low-income apartment complex with many elderly residents, twice each month
. Deliveries will take place on the 1st Tuesday and 1st Wednesday of the month, from 9am to 11am, with slots for 20 volunteers each day. The next two opportunities to volunteer will be Wednesday, December 1st
and Tuesday, December 7th
. We are also looking for some regular volunteers who are willing to be part of a rotating team of project leaders for this event. If you are interested in taking on such a role please email Sue Grimes (sue@STCpeninsula.com
December Big Volunteer Day
Mark you calendars for December 11th for our next Big Volunteer Day. We have several projects to choose from this month including our regular opportunities at the Hampton Roads Urban Agriculture‘s community garden, Heart of Giving, and the Peninsula Rescue Mission.
December Bed Delivery
We’ve helped to build them, now we get a chance to help delivery them! Sleep In Heavenly Peace, one of our service partners whose mission is to see that every child has a bed to sleep in, needs some help delivering beds on December 18th, from 8am to 1pm. Please sign up by December 13th to help SIHP plan their delivery schedule for the day.
