GARDEN HELPERS

Help us take care of our raised garden beds! We are looking for folks who can harvest plants and keep the plants hydrated. Guidance will be provided by our garden co-leaders who are both Master Gardeners. Schedule is flexible but we ask that you volunteer once a week for 1-2 hours.

FINANCIAL COACHES

To become a THRIVE financial coach, you must take the 20-hour Master Financial Educator Volunteer training through the Virginia Cooperative Extension office. If you are interested in learning more, please fill out a volunteer application, and we will schedule you to shadow a current financial coaching session before class enrollment. Click here to view the training information and schedule.

LITERACY FOR LIFE TUTOR

THRIVE has begun a partnership with Literacy for Life (LFL) to offer ESL classes to our clients.  We are looking for tutors who are willing to volunteer 90 minutes per week, working one-on-one with a client.  A five-hour training program is provided by LFL.

SUMMER VOLUNTEERS
Many of our regular team members go on vacation during the summer. We are seeking substitutes that can volunteer during the day and pick up shifts, based on your schedule and availability. Minimum commitment: two 2-hour shifts per month.
