It’s about that time again for Ezer’s Annual Back to School Blessing Event! It’s hard to believe the 2022-2023 school year is quickly approaching. We want to be sure to aid and support families in their preparation and that every child returns feeling confident, well equipped, and has a level playing field for the new year! SO, now’s the time to rally your friends, family, business, organization or church to unite together to be a helping hand in many families’ time of need.

On Sunday, August 21st, we will be distributing the following items to each sponsored child: school and grade specific school supplies, a book bag as well as two outfits, underclothes and a coat/jacket. We would LOVE to partner with you this year to create a lasting impact for many children and families right here in our own community and here’s how…….

 

  1. Sponsor & Shop: Here you have the opportunity to shop personally for a child (or two 🙂 ) based on their needs, interests and likes! You would also receive the first name of the child(ren) and have the ability to keep them in your thoughts/ prayers throughout the year! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a child feel seen and loved! Sponsored child items should be coordinated for drop off (or pick up if unable to drop) by August 20th for distribution on August 21st. Check out the specific dates and times on our website when you sign up!

 

  1. Sponsor Through Monetary Donation: Here you can give a gift for any amount you are comfortable with and we will send you the first name of the child you sponsor based on the given amount so have the ability to keep them in your thoughts/ prayers throughout the year! Then we will shop for you.

The recommended sponsorship costs are as follows:

Pre-School to 5th: $115

Middle School: $135

High School: $165

 

  1. Donate School Supplies:You can do this by taking a look at the flier attached to this email with lists of needs based on a child’s grade. If you are a church, organization or just want to coordinate your own fundraiser, you can put a bin out for your community to contribute to the impact. Attached in this email is a printable flier to post on your bin for collections! Bin collection drop offs will be Saturday, August 13th from 10am-12pm & 530pm-630pm and Wednesday, August, 17th from 9-11am & 530-630pm @ 2200 Coliseum Drive, Hampton VA 23666.

 

  1. Volunteer: You also have the option to come serve with us on the big day to distribute Back to School Blessings to the children and families!

We have also attached our ”Ways to Be a Blessing” cards for you to forward by email or print (double sided) and pass out to invite your colleagues, congregants and friends into this personalized opportunity to sponsor and pray for a child right here in Hampton Roads.
