A Peaceful Place Needs Help for End of Life Care Home

LINK of Hampton Roads, Inc., has formed A Peaceful Place LLC, a proposed self-pay community home for end of life care, (short or longer term care for six months or less), for anyone needing assistance at end of life.  The open date is proposed as October 1, 2019.  The team will provide experience and excellent, compassionate care to ensure residents will not be alone during a time of need.  The facility is located on a lovely cul-de-sac nestled in a beautiful neighborhood in Hampton, VA.

Volunteers are needed to be helpers in the home, assisting the team with the care of residents, i.e. reading, playing games, providing entertainment or pet therapy, cooking or baking for the residents, yard maintenance, etc.  Kelley Matteson, RN, will provide the training needed so you are well-versed in hospice and palliative care issues.

Interested individuals may contact Lynne Finding for more information at 757-254-2424 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday please.
