SAVE THE DATE:    Sunday, 19 May 2019, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 32nd Annual “A Day at Busch Gardens w/The Arc!!”  Lots of volunteers are needed to maximize our clients’ enjoyment of this super-special once-a-year event.  The online form for BG volunteers isn’t live yet; however, let me know if you wish to volunteer for Busch Gardens, I’ll put you on the list, and I’ll let you know when the form is ready.  Thanks in advance – hope you can join us!

Tuesday, 19 March,  7:00-8:15 PM (early departure),  Fitness Team “Jazzercise:”  Williamsburg Fitness Center, 455 Merrimac Trail, Williamsburg.  Our friends at Williamsburg Fitness Center have invited us to return for another high-energy, super-fun Jazzercise class, which is guaranteed to be a great workout!!  4-5 volunteers needed,  Come dressed to participate in the class.  Volunteers please meet Bette Faye at 6:45 in front of the Fitness Center.

Saturday,  23 March,  1:00-4:00 PM,  “20th Annual W&M Arc Carnival!!”  Sunken Gardens, W&M Campus, Williamsburg.  This phenomenal annual event is being sponsored by W&M’s Fraternity & Sorority Life Program, held on campus, with volunteer support being provided by members of W&M’s sororities & fraternities.  5-7 additional volunteers are needed to help set up, assist w/arrival & departure, serve hot dogs, and tend to needs of clients.  Please meet Bette Faye at 11:30 AM in the Sunken Gardens.  Rain Plan:  In case of inclement weather, the Carnival will be held indoors at Trinkle Hall, off North Boundary & Grigsby Streets.  Bette Faye will send out a map and additional info to volunteers closer to the event.  W&M students can volunteer to be “Buddies” or workers at the Carnival by way of Fraternity & Sorority Life sign-up procedure.  This is one of The Arc’s most popular and most highly anticipated events — “THANK YOU” to our dedicated, longstanding partners and friends in W&M’s Fraternity & Sorority Life!!  Think SUNSHINE!!

Tuesday,  26 March,  7-9:00 PM,  Fitness Team Session, “Yoga w/Anita:”  JCC Recreation Center, 5301 Longhill Road, Meeting Rooms A&B, Williamsburg.  5 volunteers are needed to lay out mats and help clients w/postures during Yoga class.  Please meet Bette Faye at 6:30 PM in Meeting Rooms A&B, left-hand wing of building.

Thursday,  28 March,  7-9:00 PM,  Arts & Culture, “Irish Folk Jam:”  Williamsburg Presbyterian Church, 215 Richmond Road, Williamsburg.  Our friends and partners from the Watermen’s Museum are returning to Williamsburg for a rollicking fun evening of Irish music, dancing, and fun!!  Come help us celebrate Irish culture and WEAR GREEN!!     volunteers are needed to assist with arrival/departure, craft project, snack & water, and musical fun.  Volunteers please meet Sandy at 6:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall, Level 1A.  Please park in lot behind the church, off Prince George Street.  Enter double-doors from parking lot, up steps, to right, down hall across from kitchen..
